Dear Baby

Last night, we made our way to the upper west side for dinner with Georgie and her beautiful family.  Through her blog, I’ve enjoyed watching her go from pregnancy to motherhood with humor, love and honesty. Her daughter Charlotte Rose is so beautiful - big eyes, perfect lips and still in that delicious little, cuddly baby phase.

We all met at the mermaid inn for seafood and Everly had the biggest diaper blowout EVER in the cab on the way over. I’m talking out the front and the back and sides of her diaper. It was EVERYWHERE and required an outfit change within the first 5 minutes of arriving. She even somehow got poop on Brent’s cloth dinner napkin and we decided that discreetly throwing it away in the mens room would be better than handing over a poop covered napkin to our poor, unsuspecting waiter.

Dinner was excellent and we had a great time passing around babies. Brent and I marveled at how light and tiny Charlotte felt and Georgina and John had a peek into their future as Everly jumped up and down on G’s lap and smacked her hands on the table while we tried to move every wine glass/candle/menu within grabbing distance.

Georgina and John are really lovely people. Funny and sweet and really good at making sweet babies (Charlotte was an angel and alternated between sleeping and just hanging out calmly).
