When I leave for work most mornings, Everly is still usually still in her jammies but recently I’ve come home to find my dear child in the craziest get ups. Her daddy selected fashion ensembles have included tank tops on cold days, mixes of polkadots and patterns that hurt your eyes to look at together and multiple time I’ve discovered her wearing clothes she outgrew months ago and her baby belly hanging out in all its glory.
I’ve since removed every single item from her closet that is too short or not season appropriate but there really are few things I find more amusing than seeing what kind of insane clothing combos Brent comes up with.
In the video above he managed to squeeze her 21 pound little body into a size 3-6 month shirt (And a true testament to the super stretch organic cotton from our favey faves over at Barley and Birch). After I stopped laughing, I shot this video of her adding in her own verses to daddy’s new tune. (And I’m happy to report that shirt is now tucked away in the attic.)
Thanks to all of you who took a moment to vote for Dear Baby for Best Baby Journal over on thebump.com. I know we got a late start and probably don’t have much of a chance to catch up - but it was really nice to feel the love. I did find out that the winner of this round wins a $50 Pottery Barns Kids giftcard, I still haven’t given up hope that I can find someone on craigslist who, if I won, would be willing to trade me for a small pony (or maybe a pygmy goat or even a duck!). So here I am, harrassing you again - you can vote as many times as you like now through November 15th.
Well, I suppose that’s it.
Pony. Vote. Happy weekend friends!
Love,
M
