My Saturday was a bit rotten. So in between trying to put on my big girl panties and fighting back the pity party that wanted to creep in, I drank a cup of hot tea, I bought a sweet little vintage dress off etsy, I put on my comfiest fur lined slippers and I took silly webcam photos of myself while checking my email.
Webcams still feel very novel to me-  Silly and vouyeristic. I’m always just slightly worried I’ve somehow connected myself to skype or facebook and am sending out a video of myself turning my head back and forth while making weird faces.
Everly’s having a sleepover with her nana so that we can get some things done around the house tomorrow morning. Brent has pulled the couch out to a bed and we’re making freezer pizza and watching sitcoms. My night is looking up.
and this concludes my completely random blog post.
Love,
M
P.S. I’ve also decided to grow my bangs out. ok, now I’m really, truly done.

Growing the Good April Charity: The Theodore Mulhollan Walk Team for March of Dimes.

Hello. I'm Melissa.

Wife to a rock n roll, super dad named Brent.

We're the adventuring type. Go. do. See.
We hit the jackpot when we had our daughter, Everly Veda in January 2010.
She has my eyes, his lips and a San Francisco heart.

In May 2011, we welcomed Arlo Redding, the most magical little dude ever into our family. His presence has made our good thing, even better.

We like old stuff and keeping it simple.
We believe in love, family and a good pair of cowboy boots.

Brent sings songs.
I write words.
And these sweet babies make our world go round.

Welcome.
