This will forever remain one of my most beloved children’s books. One year in highschool, I worked at a Head Start preschool for under-priviledged kids. We’d read a lot of books and sang a lot of songs - but keeping the attention of 12 squirming, energetic 3 year olds was always a challenge.
I remember the day I brought this book in for the class, I’ve never seen them sit so perfectly still in my life. All of their little eyes looking up at me, their tiny mouths open, legs crossed - listening  intently to every word of this incredibly sweet story.
Even at 17 the book struck something deep inside me - but now, eleven years later with this child growing inside me (whose beautiful heartbeat we got to hear again yesterday at my OBGYN appointment!) the words seem to resonant within every part of my being.
“I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always, as long as I’m living my baby you’ll be”

Growing the Good April Charity: The Theodore Mulhollan Walk Team for March of Dimes.

Hello. I'm Melissa.

Wife to a rock n roll, super dad named Brent.

We're the adventuring type. Go. do. See.
We hit the jackpot when we had our daughter, Everly Veda in January 2010.
She has my eyes, his lips and a San Francisco heart.

In May 2011, we welcomed Arlo Redding, the most magical little dude ever into our family. His presence has made our good thing, even better.

We like old stuff and keeping it simple.
We believe in love, family and a good pair of cowboy boots.

Brent sings songs.
I write words.
And these sweet babies make our world go round.

Welcome.
