I’m sewing in the airport

I’m sewing felt pieces on to tiny, size 12 month leggings to be exact.

I haven’t finished Everly’s halloween costume despite my best efforts, and so part of it is coming along on my work travels this week.

I will lay my head to sleep in Boston, NYC, and Toronto before the week is done.

I had a heart to heart with Everly before I left. She’s already taking a step from the couch to the coffee table and you can literally see the connection between her brain and her body putting that magic combination together that will allow her to be completely mobile.  I begged her not to walk while I’m gone. I asked her to hold out just a few more days until I’ll be home with no work travel plans until after the holidays (hopefully).

Keeping my fingers crossed that she listens.

Now back to these leggings…..

Love,

M

Growing the Good April Charity: The Theodore Mulhollan Walk Team for March of Dimes.

Hello. I'm Melissa.

Wife to a rock n roll, super dad named Brent.

We're the adventuring type. Go. do. See.
We hit the jackpot when we had our daughter, Everly Veda in January 2010.
She has my eyes, his lips and a San Francisco heart.

In May 2011, we welcomed Arlo Redding, the most magical little dude ever into our family. His presence has made our good thing, even better.

We like old stuff and keeping it simple.
We believe in love, family and a good pair of cowboy boots.

Brent sings songs.
I write words.
And these sweet babies make our world go round.

Welcome.
