Two days ago, I was gripped by a horrible realization.
One day, I will have to take my child into a public restroom. and even worse, it would probably be impossible to keep them from touching things.
oh… my…god…
Public restrooms are the bain of my existence. I am not normally a germaphobe - but I have zero desire to share a bathroom with perfect strangers. I usually walk in, kick open the stall door, hover of the toilet, use my foot to flush and scurry to wash my hand before whatever black plague I picked up in the stall sinks in. Public restrooms are my worst nightmare (and don’t even get me STARTED on port a potties)
So someone with experience, please tell me how one actually takes a child to use a public restroom without first wrapping them in a layer of plastic?
Why am I even worried about these things now? I have no idea. But this has really been weighing on me since the idea popped into my head.  Can you put my mind at ease so I can go back to worrying about folic acid intake and prenatal yoga classes?
Love,
M

Growing the Good April Charity: The Theodore Mulhollan Walk Team for March of Dimes.

Hello. I'm Melissa.

Wife to a rock n roll, super dad named Brent.

We're the adventuring type. Go. do. See.
We hit the jackpot when we had our daughter, Everly Veda in January 2010.
She has my eyes, his lips and a San Francisco heart.

In May 2011, we welcomed Arlo Redding, the most magical little dude ever into our family. His presence has made our good thing, even better.

We like old stuff and keeping it simple.
We believe in love, family and a good pair of cowboy boots.

Brent sings songs.
I write words.
And these sweet babies make our world go round.

Welcome.
