Work Clothes/ Play Clothes

Collecting 5 outfits for this feature is proving harder than I thought- most week days I’m running out the door to get to the office on time and daylight savings has made it so that it’s too dark to take photos when I come home. Most weekends, I’ve got the camera pointed on my family and I forget to snap a shot of myself, so it took me almost a month to collect these 5 shots. Further proof I wouldn’t last a week as a bonafide fashion blogger -  Here we go!

Play Clothes. A weekend trip to the mountains - This outfit was pure comfort!

Sweater: c/o Francesca’s Collections

Tank: Forever21

Skirt: Forever21

Cowboy Boots: Vintage

Work Clothes. Everly paid me my first compliment ever from her when I wore this. She sat down next to me on the couch, patted this pink skirt and say “Pretty mama, pretty”

Top: It’s actually a dress tucked in! Francesca’s Collections

Skirt: Asos

Black Wedges: Qupid (I’ve worn these poor shoes to death.)

Play Clothes. I wear this wrap a million times a week, I like that it’s lightweight and goes with everything - and these boots, sigh… they are my most favorite recent find. $50 on ebay - score of the century!

Wrap: c/o Francesca’s Collections

Green Tank: Target

Leggings: Forever21

Boots: Vintage

Work Clothes. I felt really feminine and floaty in this outfit. Plus the wedges, oh man… suddenly I am all about leopard print shoes.

Black top: Target

Skirt: c/o Francesca’s Collections

Belt: Asos

Shoes: Steven

Work Clothes. This is pretty casual for work but my office is cool with jeans every now and then. Speaking of jeans…Ugh, I really need some new ones. (What’s your favorite brand of skinnies?) These are so faded and it’s kind of a miracle they haven’t disintegrated yet.

Top: c/o Francesca’s Collections

Jeans: 1000 years ago at a little boutique in SF

Booties: BC shoes - so comfortable!

And here’s a bit of fun ~ My awesome sponsor, Francesca’s Collections is giving away a cardi or wrap of your choice to one Dear Baby reader (US only). To enter, leave a comment below with what piece you’d choose if you win. I’ll draw a winner on Friday morning!

Love,

M

Growing the Good April Charity: The Theodore Mulhollan Walk Team for March of Dimes.

Hello. I'm Melissa.

Wife to a rock n roll, super dad named Brent.

We're the adventuring type. Go. do. See.
We hit the jackpot when we had our daughter, Everly Veda in January 2010.
She has my eyes, his lips and a San Francisco heart.

In May 2011, we welcomed Arlo Redding, the most magical little dude ever into our family. His presence has made our good thing, even better.

We like old stuff and keeping it simple.
We believe in love, family and a good pair of cowboy boots.

Brent sings songs.
I write words.
And these sweet babies make our world go round.

Welcome.
