one more thing…
My last post was not meant to knock co-sleep at all! I reread it again and I don’t think it warrants editing. (We co-sleep ourselves early every morning when Everly wakes up)
I’ll just keep saying it over and over because it’s really the only thing I can say. Do what works for your family. Whether that’s having a unmedicated birth or a medicated one. Not breastfeeding or breastfeeding until your child is 4. Forgoing vaccinations or following the AAP vaccine schedule. Co sleeping or crib sleeping. Cloth diapers or disposables. Baby led weaning or purees.
We battle a million and one of these sorts of decisions in every step of raising our children. And every one of us knows just how difficult those decisions are! Don’t automatically assume that families who make different choices than yours are uninformed.
The beauty of this world is that we’re all different. And the needs of our families are all different. Ultimately, we’re all just trying to raise happy, well adjusted kids.
However you choose to do that is up to you.
Best,
M
