I don’t know what rock I’ve been hiding under, but I recently discovered Ella’s Kitchen Organic  baby foods. They come in these fantastic little pouches with a feed spout so that I can squeeze baby food directly into Everly’s mouth without hunting around for a spoon.
They’re absolutely PERFECT for feeding her in the car or when we’re on the go - but at $1.95 a pop, they’re not the best option for us when we can’t take out homemade baby food along.
We love Sprout Organics too, but their resealable pouch packaging still requires a spoon for feeding.
In comes this little discovery at Trader Joe’s last week!  Apple/Carrot & Apple Sauce packets with that same little handy feed spout.  They are PERFECT for throwing in Everly’s diaper bag, she loves the taste and they’re priced at 4 for $2.99. The only downside I can see is that they are not organic.
I’ve heard from other mom’s that these are great for babies all the way to school age kids as they can suck them right out for a little treat.
Our girl is quickly transitioning to solids - she’s eating steamed veggies and soft fruits in small pieces and has become a fan of eating just about anything on our plates as long as we cut it into small pieces, but we still are giving her some purees and this little discovery is making on-the-go feeding a lot easier.

Growing the Good April Charity: The Theodore Mulhollan Walk Team for March of Dimes.

Hello. I'm Melissa.

Wife to a rock n roll, super dad named Brent.

We're the adventuring type. Go. do. See.
We hit the jackpot when we had our daughter, Everly Veda in January 2010.
She has my eyes, his lips and a San Francisco heart.

In May 2011, we welcomed Arlo Redding, the most magical little dude ever into our family. His presence has made our good thing, even better.

We like old stuff and keeping it simple.
We believe in love, family and a good pair of cowboy boots.

Brent sings songs.
I write words.
And these sweet babies make our world go round.

Welcome.
