Dear Baby

The first day of Autumn.

I hadn’t gotten both feet in the door from work last night before I was announcing to Brent and Everly “Let’s go outside!!”. After spending 8+ hours trapped under the artificial lighting of corporate America, I was aching something fierce for fresh air and barefeet.

We only made it as far as our front yard, but that’s all I really needed anyway. A little family time under the pecans trees with my two favorite people.

The first leaves of fall are beginning to litter our yard. The dove is absolutely fascinated with them and it appears that crunching leaves into a million little pieces is going to be a favorite pass time for us this season.

We will, however, continue to discourage Everly’s tenacious efforts to taste everything in our yard.

Everly wore her Zuzii Bijou boots (A rockin’ Dear Baby sponsor)- They’re made from a stretchy material that feels like my favorite t-shirt and despite serious amounts of crawling - they stayed on! (cue angel choir here)

Happy Autumn dear readers! It’s my very favorite season in North Carolina.
