Away we go.
My ultrasound today revealed that this baby is a good looking kid, sitting right where an 8 week old baby is supposed to sit, growing little arms and legs, and that heart was just beating away! I can not tell you how simply AMAZING this experience was Brent and I both got tears in our eyes, and he had his face smushed so close to the monitor that we had to ask him to step back so the nurse and I could see.
Today made this so very very real. I know all these crazy changes to my body were because of your presence, but actually seeing that little life there… living inside me… It just filled me with the greatest joy I have ever known.
This evening I came home and boo hoo’d to every sappy commercial on tv. There is a new movie coming out called Away We Go about the journey of a couple with their first pregnancy and I sobbed for three minutes after the trailer ended. “That’s us Panky!” I said blubbering. He just took me in his arms and laughed.
Away we go indeed.
