Best Buddies.

My best friend, Natasha, sent over a recent picture of our boys hanging out on the couch together in their hand-me-down carseats this week and I kept thinking it looked so familiar, so I went digging through my files and sure enough, I had a picture of Everly and Mylah in a similar shot.

Everly and Mylah are 11 days apart and play together several days a week. When you ask Everly who her best buddy is she says “Myyy lah” in a very drawn out, adorabley southern drawl. They squeal with excitement when they see each other and have shared more sippy cups, trips to the park, and runny noses than you can imagine.  Now our boys, Arlo and Benji, are separated in age by only three and a half months. In no time, they’ll be hot on the heels of their big sisters, galloping through the hallways of our houses.

I have loved watching these two sweet girls grow into inquisitive, energetic and hilarious toddlers together. I can’t wait to see our little fellas develop their own personalities and unique relationship too.

Friendsips are such a blessing - and the Gainer family has been a big one to us.

Love,

M

(P.S. I know Arlo isn’t buckled into his seat - but it was only for the photo!)

Growing the Good April Charity: The Theodore Mulhollan Walk Team for March of Dimes.

Hello. I'm Melissa.

Wife to a rock n roll, super dad named Brent.

We're the adventuring type. Go. do. See.
We hit the jackpot when we had our daughter, Everly Veda in January 2010.
She has my eyes, his lips and a San Francisco heart.

In May 2011, we welcomed Arlo Redding, the most magical little dude ever into our family. His presence has made our good thing, even better.

We like old stuff and keeping it simple.
We believe in love, family and a good pair of cowboy boots.

Brent sings songs.
I write words.
And these sweet babies make our world go round.

Welcome.
