Dear Baby

A wedding.

This weekend we attended the wedding of one of my oldest friends, Hannah. Our parents have been friends our whole lives and we’ve spent so many years playing dress up, having tea parties and going on family vacations together. Hannah and her new husband Chas, held their wedding in the backyard of the 100 year old farmhouse where they live. They said their vows in front of an old barn on the back of the property.

The entire event was so Hannah. Bridesmaids in cowboy boots and barefeet, haybales covered in old quilts, traditional southern cooking and a bluegrass band. In essence, it was a dream!

Don’t you just love LOVE? Being in the presence of people with mutual adoration and respect for one another always feels so good. I love weddings and get a bit teary eyed when everyone rises to see the bride standing at the end of the aisle.  My three year anniversary with Brent is right around the corner and I always think back to that moment when we first locked eyes before my own walk to join our lives together.

It was just the most beautiful night.
