Dear Baby

The Weekend.

Despite the fact that it looks like we had a lazy, relaxing weekend - it really was quite busy! Brent was out of town for most of it on a boy’s weekend to the beach. Lucky for us, Mama drove down from Asheville to hang out with Dovie and I. But mixed in with the hustle were moments of quite stillness. Those truly are the times I most enjoy. When afternoon light waterfalls through the windows into sunny pools on the hardwoods and neighbors ride by on their bicycles and every now and then Everly will let out a sweet little coo while she dreams in the other room.

So this post is in honor of the few but lovely moments of quiet and rest. They make up the very soul of the weekend and we were grateful for the sprinkling that made their way into our Saturday and Sunday.
