After spending last weekend in the presence of my adorably 6-months pregnant sister in law, and watching her constantly run her hands over her belly, I starting reminiscing on what was my favorite things were about being pregnant. While I love not having to pee every ten seconds, sleeping on my stomach, and fitting into my favorite dresses - there are a few things that I really miss. Here’s my list:
1. Feeling Everly move in my belly every time I laid down to sleep.
2. Having perfect strangers smile at me constantly and offer congratulations.
3. As my friend Jess pointed out yesterday, those awesomely comfortable maternity jean waistbands
4. Constantly wondering what she would look like and whose features she’d inherit.
5. Having an excuse to eat all the chocolate haagen-daz I wanted (In effort to drop my baby weight, I’ve barely eaten ice cream at all since she was born, boo hoo)
What do you miss most about pregnancy?
Love,
M

Growing the Good April Charity: The Theodore Mulhollan Walk Team for March of Dimes.

Hello. I'm Melissa.

Wife to a rock n roll, super dad named Brent.

We're the adventuring type. Go. do. See.
We hit the jackpot when we had our daughter, Everly Veda in January 2010.
She has my eyes, his lips and a San Francisco heart.

In May 2011, we welcomed Arlo Redding, the most magical little dude ever into our family. His presence has made our good thing, even better.

We like old stuff and keeping it simple.
We believe in love, family and a good pair of cowboy boots.

Brent sings songs.
I write words.
And these sweet babies make our world go round.

Welcome.
