Lessons in baby raising:

Last week I learned that putting ballet flats on an 8 month old is a completely futile exercise.  I must have tried to put them back on her feet about 10 times before I got it through my thick head that there was no way they were ever going to stay on.

As I cursed their uselessness, Everly offered the suggestion that instead of wearing them, she could always just eat them.

and all was right in our world again.
