It's a slow news day
So here are some random and precious pictures of the “big one” and “the little one” (as Brent and I have found ourselves referring to them lately) from the past week. And in other slow news week stories, Everly learned to make fart noises on my legs and we all found it entirely too funny. 10 minutes later, we were still giggling and my legs were covered in toddler...

A Trip To The Countryside
Everly had plans to sleepover with her grandparents last Saturday night so Brent and I packed up the littlest Jordan and we made our way to the countryside to see our dear friends Nick and Kate. They are leaving North Carolina at the end of July for their next farming adventure in Massachusetts and we are trying to see them as often as possible before they go. I’m a bit in denial over the...

A Day In The Life... Last Train to Pooksville
Today’s guest blogger is Emily of Last Train to Pooksville. Emily is the sort of woman that I feel fortunate to be friends with - She’s creative, kind, and has such a natural joy for life. Her blog is full of cute musings on her babydoll daughter, Poppy. This little family is one of the sweetest around! _________ starting our day! coffee, toast, and internet browsing for mama,...

Dear Baby Sponsor Highlight: Megan Miller...
I’ve had the best time playing with some of the pretty polishes from my newest Dear Baby sponsor, The Megan Miller Collection. These pretty polishes were created by a mom of two who was inspired to make a polish that looked as good in the bottle as it does on your nails.  I’ve had them sitting out on display in our bathroom because I love the cork bottle tops and little raffia details....

Letters to Arlo.
Dear Son, There is no doubt that you are a mama’s boy. I seem to be the only one you want when you need to be soothed or cuddled… but when it comes to who is best at getting you to flash that gummy smile, your daddy wins every time. Love, Mama

Gussied Up
I kind of miss taking a weekly bump photo or striking a pose for Ladies Room Fashion Show - so for old times sake, Brent snapped a couple of photos of Everly and I in the front yard last week on our way to my best friend’s birthday party. It’s always fun to get a little gussied up with my girl. Also, I think Everly’s top is about as avant garde as toddler clothing gets...

Little Traditions: Happy Half Birthday!
If there is one thing I absolutely love about having a family, it’s starting little traditions of our very own, be it our anniversary family holiday or after bedtime dessert runs. Since Everly’s birthday falls so close to Christmas, we decided we’d start another little tradition by celebrating her half birthday in the summertime. We wanted to have just a mini celebration - a...

Adjusting to a new brother
A lot of folks have asked me how Everly is adjusting to her new baby brother. For the most part, she is doing great. She was immediately in love with him. The minute we set him down on the floor for her to see him, she wanted to wrap her arms around him and shower him in kisses and love. Not a day has gone by that she hasn’t planted wet, cracker crumb covered kisses on his little...

A Day in the Life... Une Envie de Sel
Sharing this next guest blogger with you is such a gift! Getting to know Maia and her beautiful family through her blog, Une Envie de Sel has been one of my favorite finds on the whole wide internet! There is so much beauty, love, and simple goodness to find in her words and in chronicling the daily adventures of her darling girl, Q.  I know they will fill your heart up just as they do mine! ...
