Baby Led Weaning →
My friend (and total foodie) Liza sent me the link above today on baby led weaning. Our plan is to exclusively breastfeed EV until she is atleast 6 months old - but after that, I’ve always figured I’d start making my own fruit and steamed veggie purees when she was ready to start solids.
The article above discusses teaching your child about how to eat and grow their palate by giving...

Help a mama out!
If you enjoy the content on Dear Baby, could you do me a teensy favor? Over on the right hand side of my blog is a little brown button that says “Top Baby Blogs” - Would you be so kind as to go over and click that button for me? Nothing to fill out, nothing else to do - but those click counts keep me high enough on the Top Baby Blogs list that I can acquire new readers.

Feeling guilty.
Guess where I took Everly today.
to a bar.
Does that make me a bad mother? It was a non smoking bar and I was craving their salad (SO YUMMY) - and it was only 3pm so it was basically only us and the bartender and the customary old guy in the corner. But I’m still feeling a bit guilty and needed to confess to someone.
ok. there. I feel better.
Love,

Saving for Everly.
Our life here in San Francisco is filled with some very beautiful people. People who have met you and love you. I thought you might like to read these when you’re older.
Love,
Mom

last night, my ears heard the sweetest sound
they have ever heard
quiet, like a drop of dew
unmistakable first murmurings of life
sweet, incandescent coos of a baby girl

Wednesday is for Everly Musings.
1. She has a sweet little dimple in the top of her right cheek. You can only see it when she smiles or cries. We have no idea who she got it from as neither of us have dimples.
2. She also has started doing the “Elvis lip” when the mood strikes. And by “mood” I mean gassiness.
3. Today she made a grunting noise that sounded something like “Abba guur aaa” and...

Monday in pictures
My first bottle! I drank like a champ and we’re all celebrating because now daddy can feed me too. We LOVE the BPA free Weil Baby* bottles. The airwave system in these bottles are created for babies with colic, and while we’ve managed to escape that fate so far (fingers crossed) - Everly took to it immediately and she didn’t have any extra air in her little system afterwards.
